L’ÎLE-AUX-AMOURS

Only 1.3 kilometers long and estimated to take 30 minutes to complete, this is one of the most family-friendly hikes you can make. You will have the chance to walk the sand spit at low tide to fully appreciate the secrets of the Île-aux-Amours, one of the famous Îles du Bic.

LE CHEMIN-DU-NORD

This is the most suitable hike for families. With a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes and a distance of 4 kilometers, the Chemin-du-Nord will take you in search of clues of human activity near the shoreline.

LA PINÈDE

As its name suggests, the La Pinède hike will take you through the century-old jack pines of the Parc du Bic. You will have the chance to admire sublime views from two lookouts. This hike is 5.8 kilometers long and lasts about 2 hours.

LES ANSES

The Les Anses hike is 3.4 kilometers long and will take you about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. This trail follows the coastline and will take you along the tombolo linking Cap Caribou to Cap Enragé.

LE SCOGGAN

This 7-kilometer, 2.5-hour hike will take you on a discovery of the famous Baie des Ha! Ha!. Along the way, several lookouts will provide you with magnificent observation points.

LA CITADELLE

The La Citadel trail offers an unprecedented view of the Pointe aux Épinettes marsh. It will take you 3 hours and 9.4 kilometers to complete this hike.

LE CONTREBANDIER

If you want to step into the shoes of Prohibition-era bootleggers, this 5.3-kilometer, 1.45-hour hike is perfect. In the past, this trail was used by some outlaws to recover shipments of alcohol. A slice of Bic’s history that begs to be discovered!

LES MURAILLES

Following a very atypical forest landscape, the Murailles trail will offer you some panoramas hidden in the dense vegetation of the area. A 6 km long discovery for an estimated duration of 2 hours.

THE MOST CHALLENGING HIKES

Finally, for the most daring hikers, check out the most difficult trails in Parc du Bic. These long hikes can be very steep and require equipment and a good amount of courage! You might even have the chance to see the numerous animals of the Parc du Bic in the surroundings!

LE GRAND TOUR

This is without a doubt the most challenging hike in the Parc national du Bic. The steep trails of the circuit will take you through all kinds of landscapes. From forests to beaches to cliffs, the Grand Tour lives up to its name. It will take you 3 hours of walking to complete the 8.7 kilometers of the course.

Please note that the departure must be made from the defined point 2 hours before the lowest tide. Be sure to get all the information you need before setting out on your adventure.

LE PIC CHAMPLAIN

This is probably the most famous hike in the Parc du Bic. It takes 6 kilometers and 2 hours to reach the summit of Pic Champlain. The climb offers breathtaking views of the entire Parc du Bic.

LE TOUR CAP-À-L ’ORIGNAL

The Cap-à-l’Orignal trail is 5.5 kilometers long and takes 2 hours to complete. Beware, the circuit crossing the estuary and the imposing cliff is uneven.

As with the Grand Tour, you will have to leave the starting point 2.5 hours before the lowest tide.
